Privacy Policy

Last updated: 31/08/2026

Welcome to The Dress Report. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit our site, why we collect it, and what your options are.

Who we are

The Dress Report ("we," "us," "TDR") is a fashion and style blog. If you have questions about this policy, you can reach us at tdr.thedressreport@gmail.com.

Information we collect

Information you give us directly

If you sign up for our newsletter or email list, we collect your email address and, if you choose to provide it, your first name. We use this to send you posts, roundups, and updates from TDR. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email we send.

If you leave a comment on the site or contact us directly, we collect whatever information you include in that message, such as your name and email address.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, TDR uses cookies and similar tracking technologies. Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help the site function and help us understand how people use it. We use cookies for:

  • Site functionality — remembering things like your cookie preferences.

  • Analytics — understanding which posts and pages get read, how visitors find the site, and general traffic patterns. We currently use Squarespace’s built-in analytics tool for this.

  • Affiliate tracking — when you click a shopping link on TDR, a cookie may be placed so the retailer or affiliate network can credit us if you make a purchase. See the Affiliate Disclaimer below for more on this.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through your settings. Blocking cookies may affect how some parts of the site work, and it may prevent affiliate links from crediting us properly, but it won't stop you from reading anything on the site.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Send newsletter emails to subscribers

  • Understand how people use the site so we can make it better

  • Respond to comments or messages

  • Track affiliate referrals so we can earn commission on qualifying purchases

We do not sell your personal information.

Third parties

We work with a small number of outside services to run TDR, which may receive limited data as part of that:

  • Email provider ([EMAIL PROVIDER, e.g., Flodesk, Mailchimp]) — stores and sends to our subscriber list

  • Analytics provider ([ANALYTICS TOOL]) — processes anonymized-ish traffic data

  • Affiliate networks and retailers (e.g., [LIST YOUR PROGRAMS, e.g., Amazon Associates, LTK, ShopStyle Collective]) — use tracking cookies to attribute purchases made through our links

Each of these has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data, and we'd encourage you to look at theirs if you want the full picture.

Your choices

  • You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time.

  • You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings.

  • If you'd like us to delete personal information we hold about you (such as your email address), contact us at [CONTACT EMAIL], and we'll take care of it.

Children's privacy

TDR is not directed at children, we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13 and we do not post any content featuring children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.

Affiliate Disclaimer

Last updated: 31/08/2026

Some of the links on The Dress Report are affiliate links. That means if you click through and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. It's one of the ways we keep this site running.

We're part of the following affiliate programs: [LIST PROGRAMS, e.g., Amazon Associates, LTK, ShopStyle Collective, RewardStyle].

A few things worth knowing:

  • We only link to pieces we'd genuinely recommend. Commission never decides what makes it onto TDR; our taste does.

  • Prices and availability shown on this site can change after we publish, since we don't control retailer inventory or pricing.

  • Clicking an affiliate link places a tracking cookie on your device so the retailer knows the sale came from us. This does not cost you anything extra, and in most cases the price you pay is exactly the same as if you'd gone to the site directly.

This disclosure is provided in accordance with the FTC's guidelines on endorsements and affiliate marketing.
